Four Years of Leadership

2024 - 2025

Strength to Build: Getting to the starting line in no way is easy. Neither however is gathering and sustaining the energy to run the race . The 4th class of the Jackson Grown Leader Fellowship has demonstrated incredible energy to run hard. The 2024-2025 cohort has shown inspiring curiosity have demonstrated strong initiative to bring their ideas forward to serve Jackson-Madison County.

 

2023 - 2024

Courage to Launch: Jackson Grown’s 3rd class demonstrated incredible skill throughout the year. Fellows dug deeply into a complex world even in times that weren’t easy. They offered proposals for how to launch ideas to improve situations they encountered and demonstrated tremendous courage. The examples they set and messages they delivered will remain valuable contributions to the community.

2022-2023

Willingness to Understand: It takes a lot to listen. It’s even harder to really put oneself in the shoes of another. Under the year’s them of “Understanding Community” the 2023 - 2024 cohort dived deep into complex topics ranging from mental health and drug use to homelessness, abuse and the need to invest in public spaces. Fellows demonstrated exceptional maturity and depth of thought.

2021-2022

Motivation to Try: The inaugural cohort was a brave one. Jackson Grown’s first nine students had the courage to help the program discover itself. The 2021 - 2022 Fellows gave as much as they were given. True leaders emerged. Alumni have become Board Members of multi-million dollar non-profit organizations and have served for multiple years as mentors in Jackson Grown.
