Keilan is a Junior Fellow from JCM High School. He is a hardworking and dedicated student who is eager to become more involved in both his school and the broader community. His interests span a wide range of fields, including Science, Language Arts, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Sports, Computer Science, and Information Technology. Keilan aspires to pursue careers in law, medicine, engineering, or as a track and field athlete or detective.

Keilan is actively involved in Track and Field, Choir, and Student Council, and draws his inspiration from his grandmother, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication. His chorus teacher, Mrs. Beasley, has also been a significant influence since 8th grade, offering him wisdom and guidance that extends beyond the classroom.

Describing himself as dedicated, hardworking, and professional and possesses several superpowers, including cooking, singing, athletics, and reading. He believes these strengths will help him make a positive impact in his community and future career.

Keilan sees the strength of his neighborhood in the way the community comes together for events like the African Street Festival and the Flea Market. However, he is concerned about the rising violence in schools, businesses, and the overall environment in Jackson, which he feels poses a challenge to living healthy, productive lives. He also recognizes the negative impact that a small number of people can have on groups, institutions and organizations. 

Despite the challenges, Keilan appreciates how the Jackson community continues to hold events that demonstrate unity and resilience in the face of adversity. He believes that more attention should be given to addressing real challenges, realistic solutions and practical steps to achieve those solutions.. As an idea creator, strategy setter, and team member with specific tasks, Keilan is ready to take on a leadership role in helping his community grow stronger and overcome its challenges.
